No. 2 Juniata Handles Gophers

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Second-ranked Juniata College cruised to a 3-0 Landmark Conference women's volleyball victory over Goucher College Wednesday night at Memorial Gymnasium.  Set scores were 25-6, 25-10, 25-6.

• Goucher (4-21, 0-5 Landmark) trailed 4-2 following a Rachel Chapman (Rochester, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) kill.
• Juniata (24-1, 5-0) reeled off 10 straight points to open a 14-2 lead.
• Lucy Hendricks (Fort Bragg, Calif./Fort Bragg) and Eden Adcock (Stratford, N.J./Sterling Regional) also had kills in the set for the Gophers.

• The Eagles opened an 8-1 lead in the second set.
• Goucher pulled within 11-5 after a Juniata service error and an attack error.
• Leading 18-9 the hosts scored six straight points.

• Tied 2-2 following a Hendricks kill, Juniata scored 10 straight points to open up the third set.

• Nicole Kovach (New York, N.Y./Quest to Learn) led Goucher with 12 digs.
• Adcock led the Gophers in the kill column with four.
• The Eagles extended their win streak to 17.

• Goucher wraps up its season in a Landmark quadmatch at Susquehanna.
• The Gophers face the host River Hawks at 11 am, then face Drew in the season finale at 4 pm.
