GLASSBORO, N.J. - The Goucher College women's volleyball team dropped both ends of a tri-match to Eastern University and host Rowan University Saturday afternoon at Esbjornson Gymnasium.
- Set scores against Eastern (9-2) were 25-5, 25-12, 25-18.
- Nicole Kovach led the Gophers (1-7) with 20 digs.
- Olivia DeBiasio had four kills for Goucher.
- The Gophers trailed 21-18 in the third set before the Eagles recorded the final four points of the match.
- Set scores against the Profs (2-7) were 25-17, 25-12, 25-14.
- Goucher led 12-10 in the first set following a block by DeBiasio and Sarah Ferguson and extended the lead to 14-11 on a Rowan attack error.
- Rowan scored the next four points to go up 15-14 and scored six points to build a 23-16 lead.
- Kailee Turner had six kills to pace the Gophers, while Amel Lightfoot had five.
- Kovach racked up 11 digs, while Madison Amaya handed out 12 assists.
- Kovach also had three service aces, with Riley Kocell and Rianne Nickerson notching two apiece.
- Goucher travels to Cairn for a 7 pm match Tuesday evening.
- The Gophers' home opener is set for Friday, September 22 against Alvernia at 6 pm.
