ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Senior libero Nicole Kovach recorded her 1,000th career dig for the Goucher College women's volleyball program, but the Gophers dropped a 3-0 decision to Elizabethtown College at Thompson Gymnasium Tuesday evening in Landmark Conference action. Set scores were 25-21, 25-11, 25-21.
Kovach needed four digs coming into the match and recorded her 1,000th in the second set. She finished with eight on the evening and now has 1,004 for her career.
Kailee Turner led the Gophers with eight kills and added four digs. Athena Savick led Goucher (3-20, 0-9) in digs with 11. Turner, Amel Lightfoot and Dakota Hawkins all finished with three block assists for the Gophers.
Kovach also had three service aces.
Elizabethtown (15-9, 6-3) secured the No. 3 seed in the Landmark Championship with the win. The Blue Jays hit .210 for the match.
Goucher closes out its season Saturday hosting Rutgers Camden in an 11:30 am match at the Decker Sports and Recreation Center.
