Maggie Catherina Steps Down as Women's Volleyball Coach, Accepts Assistant Position at Lafayette

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College Director of Athletics Dr. Andrew Wu announced Wednesday that Maggie Catherina has stepped down from her position as head women's volleyball coach.  Catherina has accepted a position as an assistant women's volleyball coach at Lafayette College, a Division I member of the Patriot League.

Named the program's 11th head coach in December, 2020, Catherina spent three seasons at the helm of the Gophers.  During her tenure the Gophers were twice honored with the AVCA Team Academic Award.

A national search for Catherina's successor will begin immediately.
