BALTIMORE - The Goucher College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Notre Dame of Maryland University Tuesday evening at the Marion Burt Knott Sports Complex. Set scores were 25-14, 25-12, 25-9.
Olivia DeBiasio led the Gophers (0-3) with six kills, with Lucy Hendricks adding five. Maria Basantes led the Gophers with 10 digs, while Emma Taylor registered 11 assists.
Notre Dame (2-1) hit .300 for the match while limiting the Gophers to -.100 hitting on the evening. The Gators have won the last three meetings in the series.
Goucher plays its home opener on Saturday, hosting Penn State Harrisburg and SUNY Canton in a tri-match. The Gophers face the Nittany Lions at 11 am and the Kangaroos at 3 pm at the Decker Sports and Recreation Center.
