Tascarella, Sandacz Earn Medals at Achtzehn Classic

The top performer for the Gophers was freshman Amanda Tascarella (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point), who placed ninth overall by completing the 6,000-meter race in 25:51.20.
Goucher's second medalist was junior Anna Sandacz (Jessup, Md./Annapolis Area Christian School). She posted a time of 26:12.50, good for 15th place overall.
The first runner to come in was Jessica Miller from York. Her time of 24:39.30 was 10.7 seconds faster than the runner-up, Caroline Delany, also from York.
Goucher had only two other runners competing today, so the Gophers were not awarded a team score. Placing 19th overall with a time of 26:39.90 was senior Zoe Malkin (Watchung, N.J./Watchung Hills Regional), while freshman Soliana Goldrich (Cleveland, Ohio/Beachwood) was 30th in the field of 54 runners (29:26.80).
