Gophers Finish Three Points Out of Sixth Place

Sophomore Camille Jorgensen (San Diego, Calif./Patrick Henry) was the top performer for head coach John Caslin's Gophers as she completed the 6,000-meter course over Goucher's campus in 25:45.11, good for 38th place.
The next two runners from Goucher to come in were junior Anna Sandacz (Jessup, Md./Annapolis Area Christian School) in 46th place and freshman Amanda Tascarella (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) in 50th. Sandacz was clocked at 26:31.87 and Tascarella at 26:56.90.
The other two runners who figured in the team score of 193 points were senior Zoe Malkin (Watchung, N.J./Watchung Hills Regional) in 63rd place (28:14.55) and sophomore Jonelle Palmer (Nashville, Tenn./Hume Fogg Academic Magnet) in 68th (29:26.92). One spot behind Palmer in 69th place was freshman Annie Drascher (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan), who recorded a time of 29:26.99.
The first runner from the field of 80 to cross the finish line was Amelia Tearnan from Elizabehtown. Her winning time was 23:04.16.
An undetermined number of runners will represent Goucher on November 15 at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional in Newville, Pa.
