Gophers Place 6th in Final Prep for Landmark Meet
KINGS PARK, N.Y. — Goucher's top four runners were among the top 30 finishers in a 5,000-meter race today that was staged at the same location as next weekend's 2015 Landmark Conference Women's Cross Country Championships.

The first Goucher runner to cross the finish line was freshman Emily League (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) in 16th place. She was clocked at 21:39.38.
Soliana Goldrich (Austin, Texas/Beachwood) was the No. 2 runner for Goucher and she was followed immediately by teammate Anna Sandacz (Jessup, Md./Annapolis Area Christian School). Goldrich completed the race in 21:59.42, good for 23rd place; Sandacz in 22:02.45. Hannah Brogan (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) was the fourth runner for the Gophers as she finished in 29th place overall (22:09.51).
The individual champion was Susan Ejore from Monroe and her winning time was 19:26.80.\
The Gophers placed sixth with a score of 131 points. Of the five teams which finished ahead of head coach John Caslin's squad in the team scoring, only one was from the Landmark Conference. Catholic took fifth place with five fewer points (126), even though Goucher's top four runners crossed the finish line ahead of the No. 2 runner for the Cardinals.
