Women's XC Places Two in Top 20 at Shannon Henretty Invitational
Sept. 10 – OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Goucher women’s cross country team placed two runners in the top 20 as the Gophers earned a seventh-place finish at the Shannon Henretty Invitational on Saturday.

Junior Soliana Goldrich earned the top finish for the Gophers on the day, crossing the line with a time of 28:56.29. Joining Goldrich in the top 20 was sophomore Kelly Johnson who tallied a 19th-place mark with a finish of 29:18.84.
The race marked the first time this season that the Gophers placed two runners in the top 20 finishers, coming in a field of 81 runners.
Senior Jo Palmer (31:26.96) was the next Goucher runner across the line in 36th place, while the top five was rounded out by sophomores Hannah Brogan (34:49.27) and Jessica Snouwaert (37:10.95).
The winners of the ten-team event was Rowan University, who totaled 37 points by placing three runners in the top five. The individual victor, however, went to Stevenson University's Kelly Winklbauer who crossed the finish line with a mark of 25:20.84.
Goucher will be back in action on Friday, September 16, as they travel to Moravian College to compete in the Moravian College Invitational. The race, scheduled to be run at Bicentennial Park in Northampton, Pa. is scheduled for a 5:30 start.
