Gophers Finish Seventh at Landmark Conference Cross Country Championship
Several Goucher women ran personal bests at the Landmark Conference Cross Country Championship hosted by Moravian College today.
Northampton, PA. -Several Goucher women ran personal bests at the Landmark Conference Cross Country Championship hosted by Moravian College today. The Gophers were led by Sophomore Kelly Johnson (Wayne Pa.), who ran a personal best of 24:44.88 allowing her to place 30th overall. Johnson's time is now the 60th fastest in Goucher 6K history. Junior Soliana Goldrich (Austin, TX) was next for the Gophers with a time of 25:13 which was good for 36th place. Sophomore Hannah Brogan(Chatham, NJ) was 64th at 27:21 and Senior Jonelle Palmer( Nashville, Tn.) was 68th with a personal best of 28:11.
"Running in what was the deepest and most talented Landmark Conference field, the Gophers were a little overmatched today. We did, however, have 6 of our 8 women run personal bests and Kelly Johnson and Soliana Goldrich continue to make strides that will have them competing for all conference in the near future" said Head Coach John Caslin.
Next up: Selected individuals will continue on and run in the NCAA Mideast Regional meet hosted by Desales University on Saturday November 12th. The women will run at 11:00 am.
