Women's XC Places 11th at Harrier Challenge
The Goucher College cross country team traveled to Winchester, Va. to take part in the 2017 Hornet Harrier and Commonwealth Challenge on Saturday.
WINCHESTER, Va. – The Goucher College cross country team traveled to Winchester, Va. to take part in the 2017 Hornet Harrier and Commonwealth Challenge on Saturday.
The women finished with a score of 118 on the 5k course. Senior Soliana Goldrich (Austin, Texas) paved the way for the Gophers with a time of 21:01.8 and a 15th place finish, worth nine points. Goldrich surpassed her career-best time by 58 seconds at the Harrier Challenge. She was followed by first-year Eva Bulson-Lewis (Minneapolis, Minn.) with a time of 22:45.3.
Junior Hannah Brogan (Chatham, N.J.) and first-year Isabel Srour (Potomac, Md.) were next to cross the finish line for the Gophers with times of 14:37.1 and 24:58.7, respectively. Sophomore Edith Hollander (Larchmont, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring for Goucher and posting a time of 27:28.9.
Goucher returns to racing next weekend when it travels to Dickinson College for the Long/Short Invitational.
