Bulson-Lewis And Holtzman Pace Goucher Cross Country At 11th Annual Hornet Harrier Invitational
WINCHESTER, Va. – Eva Bulson-Lewis (Minneapolis, Minn./Trinity School at River Ridge) and Joey Holtzman (Bloomington, Minn./Thomas Jefferson) paced the Goucher College cross country team at the 11th Annual Hornet Harrier Invitational on Saturday.
Bulson-Lewis was the Gophers top runner in the 5K with a time of 24:23.0 to finish 90th in the women's race while Holtzman posted a time 23:51.2 to end in 144th place to lead the men's side in a 6K race.
"We had good performances from Eva and Joey and debuts for Leah and Yinesha," said head coach John Caslin. " We are planning on being healthy and running fast at next week's Goucher Cross Country Classic.
Isabel Srour (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) (116th place, 26:38.2) also competed for the women in the 5K race while Nick Jackson (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) (173rd place, 27:21.1) and Ricky Rubin (Severn, Md./Old Mill) (184th place, 29:49.8) participated in the men's 6K for Goucher.
Shenandoah also ran a 2-mile race and Mia Taylor (Bowie, Md./Wakefield) finished 15th with a time of 19:34.3 for the men while Yinesha Taylor (Baltimore, Md./Herford) (14th place, 24:57) and Leah Wodajo (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) (15th place, 28:13.2) both made their collegiate debuts on the afternoon.
The Gophers return to action when they host the Goucher Cross Country Classic on October 5.
