Holtzman And Bulson-Lewis Lead Goucher Cross Country At 13th Annual Hood College Open
FREDERICK, Md. – Joey Holtzman (Bloomington, Minn./Thomas Jefferson) and Eva Bulson-Lewis (Minneapolis, Minn./Trinity School at River Ridge) paced the Goucher College cross country team in the Gophers final tune up for the Landmark Conference Cross Country Championships at the 13th Annual Hood College Open on Saturday.
"The final tune up for the conference championship went right as planned," said head coach John Caslin. "We now need to get some people healthy and continue moving forward with two weeks to go!"
Holtzman finished 88th with a time of 32:15.30 in the 8K race on the men's side while Bulson-Lewis finished 65th for the Goucher women with a time of 27:46.50 in the 6K race.
Isabel Srour (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) (90th place, 30:34.40), Lily Reiser (Madison, Wisc./Madison West) (97th place, 31:09.90) and Leah Wodajo (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) (135th place, 46:59.60) also competed for the women's team while Ricky Rubin (Severn, Md./Old Mill) (123rd place, 36:11.00) and Nicholas Aliquo (South Portland, Maine/Baxter Academy) (134th place, 38:03.80) participated for the Gophers men's team.
Goucher will have a week off before heading to the Landmark Conference Cross Country Championships on November 2.
