Gopher Women Place Third at ECAC Mid-Atlantic Championship
TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College women's cross country team finished third at the 2023 ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Championship held Friday on Goucher's Coach Caslin Course.
The Gophers finished behind Johns Hopkins and McDaniel. Sophomore Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw placed 14th overall with a 6K time of 26:01.33.
First years Imaya Edmonds and Daya Sathyaraj placed 16th and 17th overall, with Edmonds recording a time of 27:01.93, while Sathyaraj ran the course in 27:54.59. Reese Finnigan recorded a time of 28:24.73, while Skye Washington rounded out the Gopher finishers with a mark of 31:31.06.
First years Jair Smith and Sam Dylan ran as individuals for the Gopher men. Smith finished ninth overall with an 8K time of 27:53.97, while Dylan posted a time of 29:12.58 to place 15th overall.
Goucher returns to action Saturday, November 10, heading to the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.
