Wiseman Places Third at Zone IV Championships
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. Valerie Wiseman (Chapel Hill, N.C./Chapel Hill) was awarded third place in advanced walk-trot-canter equitation today at the IHSA Zone IV Championships, the highest finish by any of the five Goucher riders who were attempting to earn an invitation to compete at the IHSA National Horse Show in Murfreesboro, Tenn., later this month.

Five Riders from Goucher Make Attempt at IHSA Nationals

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Valerie Wiseman (Chapel Hill,
N.C./Chapel Hill) was awarded third place in advanced
walk-trot-canter equitation today at the IHSA Zone IV
Championships, the highest finish by any of the five Goucher riders
who were attempting to earn an invitation to compete at the IHSA
National Horse Show in Murfreesboro, Tenn., later this month.
Today's show brought together riders from all three regions which make up Zone IV, with only the top two in each class advancing to the national event.
The other riders who represented Goucher today and where they placed were: Cady Klimas (Miami, Fl./Palmer Trinity), fifth place in open equitation over fences; Emily Shelley (Reisterstown, Md.) fifth place in intermediate equitation on the flat; Shauntae Robinson (Laurel, Md./Reservoir), fifth place in walk-trot; and Amory Brandt (Saratoga, Calif./Lynbrook), who was the Region I champion in open flat, seventh place.
