Brandt Finishes in Seventh Place in Medal Class
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Without a rider to compete in walk-trot, the team Goucher sent to the IHSA Tournament of Champions Winter Classic finished in 16th place today with a score of nine points.

Champions Winter Classic finished in 16th place today with a score
of nine points.
Individually, Goucher's Amory Brandt (Saratoga, Calif./Lynbrook) distinguished herself in the medal class, which drew a total of 24 competitors. The champion in the medal class was Brett Flower and the reserve champion was Jennifer Osterman, both from Virginia Tech. Brandt placed seventh overall.
Brandt competed in open equitation on the flat and was awarded third place. Karli Postel (Newbury Park, Calif./Oaks Christian School) took sixth place in open equitation over fences.
In the novice division, Addie Jabin (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) placed third in the flat phase.
The team title in the third and final event of this season's IHSA Tournament of Champions, a non-sanctioned exhibition series, went to Delaware Valley, which earned 31 points. One point back in second place was Virginia Tech and Bridgewater placed third with 27 points.
