Radgowski Takes First in Intermediate Fences, Flat

SPARKS, Md. — Goucher's Alison Radgowski (Northport, N.Y./Northport) was declared the high point rider at the IHSA Zone IV Region I show conducted today at Featherdown Farm. The sophomore earned a pair of blue ribbons, one for intermediate equitation over fences and the other for intermediate equitation on the flat.
The only other first-place performance by a Goucher rider came from freshman Clea Lerner (Los Angeles, Calif./Renaissance Arts Academy) in novice flat.
Kaduk Sherpa (East Aurora, N.Y./The Park School) and Hannah Woodson (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) were awarded red ribbons for second-place performances in novice fences and advanced walk-trot-canter, respectively. Ari Schlossberg (Barrington, Ill./Barrington Community) placed third in walk-trot.
The Gophers placed first overall with a score of 36 points, boosting their total for the season to 118. George Mason and Mount St. Mary's ended up tied for second with 29 points apiece, followed by George Washington with 28.
Mount St. Mary's held on to second place in the Region I standings for 2014-15, but after the first three riding shows of the season, the Gophers enjoy a 38-point lead over the Mountaineers.
