Hundley Earns Two Blue Ribbons in Open Equitation
HERNDON, Va. — Goucher's Cary Hundley (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) earned the distinction of being the high point rider at the IHSA Zone IV Region I horse show conducted at Frying Pan Farm Park today.

Hundley took home a blue ribbon in both phases of the open division, securing seven points toward Goucher's team score with her first-place performance in the open equitation on the flat.
Ashley Bent (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) was Goucher's point rider in open equitation over fences; she also produced seven points by placing first.
The Gophers finished the competition with the high score of 42 points, which gave them a 10-point victory over runner-up George Washington. After the first four shows of the 2015-16 season, Goucher (162 points) enjoys a 45-point lead over Georgetown (117 points) in the Zone IV-I standings.
In the intermediate division, Anna Carmichael (Colorado Springs, Colo./William J. Palmer) was awarded first place in the flat phase; in the novice division, Clea Lerner (Los Angeles, Calif./Renaissance Arts Academy) took second in the jumping phase and third in the flat.
In walk-trot-canter, Sarah Lummis (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and Fanny Eaton (New York, N.Y./Convent of the Sacred Heart) picked up blue ribbons, while both Hannah Woodson (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) and Eaton qualfied to compete the the regional championships in April. In walk-trot, Ari Schlossberg (Barrington, Ill./Barrington Community) was awarded first place.
The next Zone IV-I horse show is scheduled for one week from today at Amazing Grace Stable in Parkton, Md.
