Goucher, which finished in ninth place with 19 points back in September at the Preseason Classic, the opening event of the 2015-16 non-sanctioned exhibition series, scored 23 points today, good for eighth place.
Centenary, the host school, entered two teams which placed 1-2 in the team scoring with 46 and 43 points, respectively. Savannah Art & Design was third with 42 points, followed by Penn State in fourth (28 points), Mt. Holyoke in fifth (28), Randolph in sixth (27) and Delaware Valley in seventh (24).
Vermont also finished with 23 points, but the Gophers were awarded eighth place because of the blue ribbon earned by Sarah Lummis (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) in walk-trot-canter equitation.
Alison Radgowski (Northport, N.Y./Northport) placed third in intermediate equitation over fences.
Cary Hundley (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) competed in the open division and took fourth place in both the jumping and flat phases. Clea Lerner (Los Angeles, Calif./Renaissance Arts Academy) did the same in the novice division, placing fourth in both phases.
Madison Parris-Bacon (Denver, Colo./Denver School of the Arts and East) came in fifth in walk-trot.
Goucher is scheduled to compete at the Winter Classic Tournament of Champions at the Hazelwild Farm Equestrian in Fredericksburg, Va. on January 23.
