Equestrian Secures Region in Win at IHSA Show
The Goucher College equestrian team clinched the region with a 47-point performance at the IHSA Show held at the University of Maryland on Saturday.
GAITHERSBURG, MD –The Goucher College equestrian team clinched the region with a 47-point performance at the IHSA Show held at the University of Maryland on Saturday.
Junior Cary Hundley (Ellicott City, MD) was the High Point Rider for the event winning Open Over Fences and Open on the Flat over the course of the day. With her performance on the day, Hundley secured her spot at the top of Cacchione Cup Standings for Region I, awarding her a bye to the National Championship in Kentucky.
Goucher's Top Performers:
- Senior Alison Radgowski was the champion in the Open on the Flat division for the Gophers
- Senior Hannah Woodson took second in Intermediate Over Fences and Novice on the Flat.
- Senior Sarah Lummis took home the win in Intermediate on the Flat for Goucher.
- First year Annika Field won Novice on the Flat.
- Junior Ashley Edwards was first in the Walk/Trot/Canter division.
- Junior Rachel Brannock won the Walk/Trot.

The team hits the road again for the UMBC IHSA Show on Sunday, March 19th and will look to increase their lead in the region. No matter the outcome at the event, Goucher College has secured the region with a 69-point lead over second place.
