Equestrian Takes Victory at IHSA Show
ALDIE, Va. - In their first show since mid-October, the Goucher Equestrian team traveled to Virginia to participate in the George Mason/George Washington regional IHSA show and took home another High Point honor.
ALDIE, Va. - In their first show since mid-October, the Goucher Equestrian team traveled to Virginia to take on George Mason and George Washington for a regional IHSA show and took home another High Point honor.
The Gophers took home the High Point College title on Saturday with impressive performances by many riders. Individually, freshman Emily Axel took home first place in Intermediate Fences and second place in Novice Flat. Senior Wren Wakeman was first in Novice Flat and second in Novice Fences. Also finishing events in first were sophomore Adeline Callihan (Advanced Walk Trot Canter), freshman Flannery Supplee (Beginning Walk Trot Canter), and senior Havah Berg (Walk Trot).
Emily Shuwall and sophomore Rachel Stockslager also turned out solid performances with a fourth-place finish in Open Flat and a third-place finish in Novice Fences, respectfully.
The Goucher College Equestrian team will be back in action on November 4 for day two of the show.
