Goucher Unveils Junior Performance of the Year Winner
BALTIMORE, Md. – Adeline Callihan (Keane, N.H./Making Community Connections Charter), a member of the Goucher College equestrian team, has been awarded the Junior Performance of the Year after winning Goucher Athletics popular vote through the website, Facebook and Twitter.
Callihan won both the website and social media vote with 20.8 percent of the vote to win the title by 5.5 percent over women's volleyball's Bianca Brown (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Township), who finished with 15.3 percent of the vote.
Callihan won the Junior Performance of the Year after going up against the best of the best at the Winter Classic I Tournament of Champions. The junior won the novice flat against a field that included the defending national champions.
Camryn Agostino (South Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) finished five votes behind Brown in third place with 14.4 percent of the vote while Sam Gravel (Baltimore, Md./St. Andrews Episcopal School) (men's lacrosse), Christina Charikofsky (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) (women's soccer), Ari Hooper (San Diego, Calif./Poway), Christina Pevey (Post, Texas/Post) (women's golf), Tetsuya Ota (Wesley Chapel, Fla./Saddlebrook Prep) (men's tennis), Kathryn Shannon (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Louisville) (women's swimming), Eva Bulson-Lewis (Minneapolis, Minn./Trinity School at River Ridge) (cross country) and Evan Yue (Beijing, China/IMG Academy) rounded out the field.
