Makaylin Shoop Earns Limit Fences Honorable Mention at IHSA Nationals

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Goucher College equestrian junior Makaylin Shoop (Davidsonville, Md./South River) was named Honorable Mention in Limit Equitation over Fences as she competed at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championship on Thursday at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex.

Shoop scored a 68 in the limit fences competition that featured the top two riders from each of the eight IHSA zones.  Elizabeth Novicki of St. Lawrence was the Limit Fences champion, while Dakota Banks of Lynchburg was named Reserve Champion.  Laurel Gaddis of Skidmore finished third.

Shoop was the Zone IV Reserve Champion in Limit Fences to qualify for nationals.
