Edwards Takes Low Collegiate Medal at Pre-Season Classic Tournament of Champions

ST. MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. - Senior Cordelia Edwards won the Low Collegiate Medal at the Pre-Season Classic Tournament of Champions as the Goucher College equestrian team opened its season at the invitation-only event on Saturday.

Edwards was one of three Gophers who placed in the Collegiate Medal competitions.  Hayley Anderson finished third for Low Collegiate Medal, while Kellen Sullivan finished fourth for High Collegiate Medal.

Sullivan finished second in Open Flat and fifth in Open Fences.  Edwards placed fourth in Limit Flat, while Anderson was fifth in Intermediate Fences.

Jacob Connell finished second in Intermediate Flat and fifth in Limit Fences.  Kristen Wilhelm placed fifth in Novice Flat, while Lily L'Oiseau competed in Intro Flat.

Tournament of Champions events are comprised of the previous season's regional champions.  Overall, Goucher placed ninth.

Goucher begins its IHSA season next weekend as it competes at the George Mason IHSA show on Saturday, September 30.
