Equestrian Places Second at Home Show
TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College equestrian team placed second behind George Mason University at Saturday's IHSA show hosted at the Goucher stables. The Gophers were edged by the Patriots 35-34 in Saturday's standings, however, Goucher maintains a 60-point lead over Mason in the IHSA Zone IV, Region I standings.
Kellen Sullivan finished first in Open Flat and fifth in Open Fences, qualifying for the Region I championship in Open Flat. Jacob Connell finished first in Intermediate Flat.
Jocelyn Harris took home first in Limit Fences, while Ella Van Wiel was first in Limit Flat. Quinn Kirkpatrick finished first in Pre-Novice.
Hayley Anderson placed fifth overall in Intermediate Fences, while Sues Hardee came in third in Limit Flat. Maggie Kinsley took sixth in Limit Flat.
Simcha McGowan was second in Novice Flat, with Chloe Perkins taking fifth in the same event.
Goucher's final IHSA show of the fall semester is Sunday, November 19 hosted by the University of Maryland.
