Varsity Riding Team
The intercollegiate riding team is one of Goucher’ s 21 varsity sports, and competes in IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association) Zone IV, Region I competition. During the year, the riding team and individual riders can accumulate points to compete at the regional, zone and national levels.

Students try out for the riding team at the start of the fall semester. After the selection is made, students who do not make the team initially may be reconsidered during their sophomore, junior or senior years. As a varsity sport, the college is responsible for all IHSA expenses associated with entry fees, lodging, food and travel.
