Landmark Releases Winter Academic Honor Roll

MADISON, N.J. - Two male swimmers were among the 30 student-athletes from Goucher who were recognized today by the Landmark Conference for academic accomplishments by being placed on the 2007-08 Winter Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Knights Rule Relays, Knock Off Gophers

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher produced the first-place performances in six of the 12 individual events this afternoon, but the Gophers were outscored 22-4 in the two relays as they suffered a 115-96 setback to Arcadia in their final dual meet of the 2007-08 season.

Gophers Pocket First Win Since 2005-06 Season

KINGS POINT, N.Y. - Goucher brought a halt to a 15-match losing streak that dated back to the 2005-06 season today when the Gophers earned a 52-42 victory over Drew. There was a third team involved in today's triangular competition and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy defeated both the Gophers, 76-21, and the Rangers, 76-27.

Shoremen Keep Gophers from Initial Victory

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - By the time Andrew Castro (San Francisco, CA/Stuart Hall) and Michael Ambrosio (Port Washington, NY/Paul D. Schreiber) turned in first-place performances for Goucher this evening, the outcome of the meet against Washington (Md.) had long been established. The Shoremen (4-3) took first place in the first seven events - and also produced the runner-up in four of them - on the way to a 96-47 victory over the Gophers.

SCRANTON, Pa. - Devin Myles (Turner, ME/Leavitt Area) and Sasha Verin (Ellicott City, MD/Mt. Hebron) both placed first in a pair of individual events today, but Goucher was still denied its first victory of the season as Scranton turned back head coach Tom Till's Gophers, 85-76.
