Gophers Bow to Seahawks, Saints to Slip Below .500

The Gophers bowed to Marymount, 123-82, and St. Mary's (Md.), 146-59.
Colin Richter (Cleburne, Texas/Cleburne) delivered the lone first-place performance for the Gophers (2-3) by completing the 200-yard backstroke in 2:03.50. He was also the runner-up in the 200 freestyle (1:51.46)
Ben Shriner (Arlington, Mass./Arlington) was clocked at 10:59.94 in the 1000 free, good for second place.
St. Mary's generated the first-place finisher in seven of the meet's nine individual events. In addition to their win over head coach Thomas Till's squad, the Seahawks (2-0) were 135-68 winners over the Saints (1-1).
Goucher travels to Huntingdon, Pa. on Saturday to face Scranton at 1 p.m.
