Richter Continues to Command 200 Back, 200 IM
MADISON, N.J. — Goucher's Colin Richter (Cleburne, Texas/Cleburne) remained undefeated in the 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard individual medley this season by placing first in both of those events during a triangular meet with two other Landmark Conference teams this afternoon.

Richter was also the first swimmer to complete the 100 back and his three first-place performances helped the Gophers earn a 95-26 victory over Drew, but head coach Thomas Till's squad also lost to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 85-52.
The Mariners (6-2) defeated the Rangers (0-8), 97-38.
Richter improved to 4-0 in the 200 back, winning today's race in a time of 2:02.49, and 3-0 in the 200 IM (2:02.61). He was clocked at :54.48 in the 100 back.
Morgan Richter (Cleburne, Texas/Cleburne) was the top performer in two events. He touched first in the 100-yard freestyle (:48.40) and the 200-yard butterfly (1:55.47).
Goucher produced the runner-up in four individual events and Cody Nelson (Duanesburg, N.Y./Schalmont) was responsible for three of those second-place performances. Nelson placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.81), the 200 breast (2:24.19) and behind Colin Richter in the 200 IM (2:14.91).
Blake Rhodes (St. Charles, Mo./St. Charles West) took second place in the 100 butterfly (:56.31).
Today's meet was the final competition of the 2015-16 regular season for the Gophers (3-8), who now have their sights trained on the 2016 Landmark Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Championships, which will take place in Boyds, Md. starting February 12.
