Gophers Fall in Landmark Meet at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, PA – The Goucher College men's swimming team (2-7, LC 0-4) was downed on the road by Susquehanna, 135-98, Saturday afternoon.
Goucher's Top Performers:
- Senior Ben Shriner won the 500 free (5:33.50) and took second in the 100 breaststroke. His time of 1:11.12 in the 100 breast marks a personal best for the senior.
- Sophomore Blake Rhodes edged out the competition in the 50 free with a time of 23.13.
- Junior Ian Furst placed second in the 500 free (5:40.20) behind only Ben Shriner.
- Junior Jerel McCord, sophomore Blake Rhodes along with freshmen Jacy MacConvery and Michael Merworth took home silver in the 200 medley relay (1:48.05).
Next Up:
The Gophers host the Drew Rangers next Saturday in the dual meet season finale at 1PM in the von Borries Aquatic Center.
