Men's Swimming Gets Three Season-Bests During Senior Day in Loss to Susquehanna

TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College Men's Swimming team (2-7) fell to the Riverhawks of Susquehanna, 467.1-342.4 Saturday afternoon in the Von Borries Aquatic Center.
The 2017-18 senior class of Ian Furst (North Reading, Mass.), Luke Hall (Gainesville, Fla.), Jerel McCord (Fort Wayne, Ind.), Duncan Miller (Mount Airy, Ga.) and Andrew Rowland (Wilton, Conn.) were recognized prior to today's dual meet.
How It Happened:
- The Gophers had three swimmers record seasonal bests during the dual meet: Junior Eli Gang (Highland Park, N.J.) finished the 100-Breast with a time of 1:13.18, Rowland finished with a time of 2:26.36 in the 200-Back, and junior Hugh MacConvery (Lilburn, Ga.) in the 100 Breast, finishing in second place with a time of 1:11.58.
- Furst placed second in the 1000-Free with a time of 11:02.75.
- McCord finished second in the 100-Fly in 55.94.34 seconds off from first place.
- First-year Troy Thompson (Nashville, Tenn.) had a personal best when he finished third place in the 50 Free with a time of 24.63.
Up next:
The Gophers travel down the road to Johns Hopkins for a dual meet next week Friday at 5 pm.
