Despite losing the meet, several of the women's swimming team members had impressive performances. Senior Ila Jackson (Columbia, Md.) came away from the day with two second-place finishes, one in the 50-yard freestyle and one in the 100-yard butterfly.
Third-place finishers on the day for the women's team were sophomore Katie Shannon (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) in the 1000-yard freestyle, freshman Jamie Damm (Middletown, Md.) in the 100-yard freestyle, and freshman Hallie Stewart (Chesapeake, Va.) in the 500-yard freestyle.
The men's team also had a few standouts, primarily sophomore Ryan Freeburg (Middletown, Del.) who placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard breaststroke.
Freshman Jackson Penner (Newille, Pa.) placed third in the 100-yard freestyle, and junior Hugh MacConvery placed second in the 400-yard IM.
