Goucher Swimming Falls At Susquehanna
SELINGROVE, Pa.- The Goucher College swimming team competed in a Landmark Conference swimming meet on Tuesday.
On the women's side, Ila Jackson (Columbia, Md./Homeschooled) won an exhibition race in the 100 breast and posted the second-best time in the event (1:17.36) while also placing second in the 50 free (26.58).
Hallie Stewart (Chesapeake, Va./Indian River) finished third in the 500 free (5:54.96).
For the men, Ryan Freeburg (Middletown, Del./Middletown) won an exhibition race in the 100 breast with the second-best time in the heat (1:06.54).
In a rare case of hitting the wall at the same time, Jackson Penner (Newille, Pa./Big Spring) finished in a tie in the 50 free (23.55) while Hugh MacConvery (Lilburn, Ga./Parkview) posted a third-place finish in the 100 fly (1:00.50).
Susquehanna earned a 118.5-42.5 win against the Gopher men's team and a 124-57 decision against the women's squad.
The Gophers wrap up the regular season at home against Drew University on Saturday. Meet time is 1 p.m. Goucher will also honor its senior class during the meet.
