- Slade Dumas served Goucher College the win against the University of Scranton by producing the fifth victory for the team in a 7-2 decision in Landmark Conference men's tennis action on Sunday.
- The Gophers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles and Tetsuya Ota took care of business at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0 for a four-point lead.
- The Royals came back to win the next two matches to trim the margin to 4-2. Dumas, the current Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, then clinched the victory for the team for the second-straight match with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles.
- Brian Kane won at No. 6 singles 6-0, 6-0 and Frankie Mullinix gutted out a 6-1, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3 win to complete a 7-2 victory.
- Ota and Michael Herman won at No. 1 doubles 8-3 and Mullinix and Elliot Diehl took an 8-3 decision at No. 2 doubles. Dumas and Omosesan Adebamgbe completed the doubles sweep with an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles. Herman lost at No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-1 and Adebamgbe fell 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.
