Bull Leads Gophers To Win On The Road
Junior, Briana Bull (Baltimore, MD) played a great all-around game and led the Gophers (2-6) to a 62-48 win over Immaculata University (0-8) on Saturday afternoon.

IMMACULATA, PA. - Junior, Briana Bull (Baltimore, MD) played a great all-around game and led the Gophers (2-6) to a 62-48 win over Immaculata University (0-8) on Saturday afternoon.
Bull was one steal shy of a triple-double leading the Gophers with 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 9 steals. Senior, Jaida Scarborough (Baltimore, MD) came off the bench and had 9 points.
Freshman Katie Pacak (Annandale, VA) also added 8 points and 6 rebounds.
Tamyra Lewis led Immaculata with 16 points and 18 rebounds.
How it Happened:
* Immaculata took an early 5-2 advantage with 5:51 to play in the first quarter, and then the Gophers responded with a 6-0 run to take the lead 8-6 with 4:36 to play in the quarter. Goucher finished the quarter out scoring Immaculata 6-2 to lead after one quarter 14-8.
* The Gophers built their lead to 18-10 but Immaculata went on their own run to cut the Goucher's lead to 22-20. But once again Goucher responded by scoring eight unanswered points and led at halftime 30-20.
* Goucher maintained their lead in the third quarter and went up by 14 points (40-26) with 3:18 left to play. But Immaculata went on their own 7-2 run to cut the lead to 42-33 going into the fourth quarter.
* Immaculata pulled within seven points (46-39) with 7:26 to go in the game, but the Gophers went on their final run of 16-3 and built their largest lead of the game, 62-42. Bull scored 10 points in this run to help Goucher pull away and win the game 62-48.
* Goucher forced Immaculata into 26 turnovers and scored 25 points off those turnovers.
* Bull's 30 points tied her career high and her 20 rebounds and 9 steals were both a career best.
* After taking their 8-6 lead in the first quarter, the Gophers maintained a lead for the remainder of the game.

* "Briana played the best game I have ever seen her play since I have been here at Goucher College. It was not just the scoring, rebounds, and steals, but how she helped, supported, and encouraged her teammates throughout the whole game. Tremendous individual effort that helped lead us to a good team win."
* Yesterday we had our best practice of the season thus far and I am very happy and proud of how this team responded and played. We need to keep this going and continue our improvement to get ready for our next game."

The Gophers will travel to Alvernia University next Saturday, December 17 to take on the Crusaders in a non-conference match-up. Tip-off is set for 1 PM.
