Women's Basketball Loses to Elizabethtown
The Goucher College women’s basketball team (4-12, LC 0-6) was handled on the road, 82-37, against Elizabethtown Saturday afternoon.

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA – The Goucher College women's basketball team (4-12, LC 0-6) was handled on the road, 82-37, against Elizabethtown Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Katie Pacak led the Gophers with 14 points and five rebounds. Junior Briana Bull collected 10 rebounds and scored eight points.
Sophomore Abby Beyer led the Blue Jays with 23 points and five rebounds. Senior Emily Martin and freshman Mikayla Ruth chipped in with 11 rebounds each.
How It Happened:
- Goucher fell behind 38-19 in the first half behind 29.6% (8-of-27) shooting while Elizabethtown shot 42.4% (14-of-33).
- Elizabethtown's Ruth scored 10 points in the first half on 6-of-8 shooting.
- Bull led the Gophers with eight points in the first half.
- The Blue Jays piled it on in the second half scoring 44 points in 20 minutes.
- Goucher fell in the end, 82-37, after scoring only 18 points in the second half.
- Over the course of the game, the Gophers shot 27.0% (17-of-63) while the Blue Jays hit 47.8% (32-of-67) of their shots.

The Gophers return home to take on Landmark opponent Moravian College on Wednesday at 7PM. In 19 meeting, Goucher has been unable to upend the Grey Hounds. In the last matchup the Gophers fell 72-48.
