MADISON, N.J. - On Saturday the women's basketball team traveled up to New Jersey to take on the Drew University Rangers in a Landmark Conference contest.
Despite the loss, freshmen Alayna McFadden (Silver Spring, Md.) and Anise Williams (West Palm Beach, Fla.) were able to put up 11 points each.
On the day, McFadden went 2-6 from beyond the arc and tied Nicole Wolard (Tampa, Fla.) as the team leader in rebounds.
Williams also put up 6 steals and 3 assists in the contest, leading both categories for the Gophers.
The Gophers will be back in action on January 19 at Juniata at 7 PM for a Landmark Conference matchup.
