Gophers Outrun Greyhounds for First-Ever Win Over Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Visiting Goucher College raced out to a 57-46 halftime lead en route to a 105-92 Landmark Conference women's basketball victory over Moravian University at Johnston Hall Wednesday evening. The win marked the first-ever for the Gophers against the Greyhounds in 34 tries.
- Goucher (5-2, 1-2 Landmark) took a 10-6 lead midway through the first quarter on a Lauryn Towns basket.
- Moravian (1-5, 0-3) used a 7-0 spurt to go up 16-13 with just under three minutes to go.
- The Gophers countered with nine straight points of their own, with a Towns basket at the 1:23 mark putting the guests up 22-16.
- Goucher extended the lead to six, 28-22, on a Nia Edens three in the final seconds.
- Merci Turner's three 18 seconds in extended the Gopher lead to nine, 31-22.
- A 10-2 Goucher run capped by a Briyah Haggins basket gave the Gophers their largest lead, 46-28.
