Mike Ricks Steps Down From Post, Heading to UAF

TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher Women's Basketball Head Coach, Mike Ricks, has announced that he will be leaving Goucher after two seasons. Ricks has accepted to the head coach position of the women's basketball program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
A search for the position will begin in the near future.
"I am very fortunate to have spent the last two years at Goucher. I've truly enjoyed being part of this community and am excited to see how it continues to grow. I want to thank our players, managers, and coaching staff for making this such a memorable experience — your commitment to the program means so much to me. Coaching here has been incredibly meaningful, both professionally and personally. Goucher will always hold a special place in my heart." Said Ricks on his time at Goucher.
Ricks brought the program from a one win season, to leading DIII NCAA in Scoring Offense, Turnover Margin and Steals per Game. He coached the Landmark Conference and D3Hoops Region 5 Rookie of the Year, while earning the programs first playoff berth ever.

Ricks' final day at the College will be Friday, May 30th.
