Before Goucher: Played volleyball at the University of Chicago Laboratory School in Chicago under head coach Lisa Miller...team captain during the 2015 and 2016 seasons for the Maroons...earned Independent School League (ISL) All-Conference honors in 2015 and 2016...named the ISL Player of the Year during the 2016 campaign...named the school's U-High Bill Zarvis Award winner...member of the American Association of German Teachers...volunteered as a tutor for the Chicago Public Schools, Easter Seals of DuPage and the Fox Valley Regions
