TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College women's volleyball team swept Trinity Washington University 3-0 in non-conference play Wednesday evening at the Decker Sports and Recreation Center. Set scores were 25-6. 25-8, 25-10.
Goucher (3-13) never trailed and hit .268 on the evening while holding the Tigers (0-10) to -.200 hitting. The Gophers racked up 24 service aces and had just four service errors.
Kailee Turner led the Gophers with 11 kills on .421 hitting, while Emma Taylor finished with six kills. Riley Kocell had nine of Goucher's 24 service aces, while Athena Savick added six.
Nicole Kovach had a team-high six digs, while Savick and Eniyah Rodriguez had five apiece. Madson Amaya had nine assists, with Kocell adding seven.
Goucher is idle until Tuesday, October 10 when it returns to Landmark Conference play against Catholic at 7 pm at the Decker Sports and Recreation Center.
