Gophers Set to Compete at 2024 Landmark Conference Championships
TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the 2024 Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday, November 2 at Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Elizabethtown College is serving as the host of this year's event.
The women's 6K event is set for 11:00 am, with the men's 8K slated to go off at noon, followed by the awards ceremony at 1:15 pm.
The Gopher women are led by junior Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw, who finished eighth at the 2023 Landmark Championships to earn Landmark Second Team All-Conference honors. Senior Reese Finnigan, sophomore Imaya Edmonds, first year Terrica Thornton-Fillyaw and sophomore Daya Sathyaraj all posted top-10 finishes at Goucher's last event, the Coach Caslin Classic on October 11. Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw finished third in the LVC Dutchmen Invitational on September 7 at Union Canal Tunnel Park, running a 5K time that day of 18:31.1.
Sophomore Jayden Keels has been Goucher's top men's runner, winning the Coach Caslin Classic three weeks ago. At the LVC Dutchmen Invitational, Keels finished 12th in a field of 188 runners with an 8K time of 26:30. Sophomores Sam Dylan and Jair Smith will also look to finish strong for the Gophers.
