Gophers Receive Several NFHCA Academic Awards
GLEN ALLEN, Va. — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association has released its individual and team academic honors for the 2014 season, with Goucher featured on each of the three award lists.

Athletics Eclipses 3.0 GPA for 30th-Straight Semester
TOWSON, Md. —Thirteen student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. Seventeen programs with a GPA over 3.0. It all adds up to a 30th-straight semester of academic excellence for Goucher’s athletic department.

Season Recap: Gophers Make Major Strides in 2014
TOWSON, Md. — Goucher’s 2013 season was marked by significant statistical improvement from the previous year, but those strides were not reflected in the win/loss column. The Gophers, though, continued their steady progress this fall, and they were rewarded with their most successful season in nearly two decades.

Landmark Releases 2014 Fall Academic Honor Roll
TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference announced its 2014 Fall Academic Honor Roll selections today, with Goucher accounting for 39 of the 371 student-athletes receiving recognition. The Honor Roll recognizes all fall student athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

Barminski, Ruhlin Named Second-Team All-Landmark
TOWSON, Md. — Goucher broke through with two Landmark victories in 2014, including a triumph over eventual conference champion Juniata, and that progress was rewarded with a pair of selections to the All-Landmark team this morning.

Gophers Conclude First Winning Season Since 1995
SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Although it wasn't with a victory, Goucher's first winning season since 1995 came to a conclusion this afternoon with the Gophers bowing to Susquehanna, 2-1, and finishing in a four-way tie for fifth place in the Landmark Conference.

Huffman Earns Landmark's Weekly Defensive Honor
TOWSON, Md. — Goalkeeper Demie Huffman registered shutouts in each of Goucher’s two victories last week, including her first ever clean sheet of a Landmark opponent, and that performance was recognized this afternoon when she was named the Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week for October 20-26.

Jewell's Double-OT Winner Lifts Gophers Over Eagles
TOWSON, Md. — Earlier this season, Goucher ended a long Landmark losing streak with a thrilling overtime win at Moravian. This afternoon, the Gophers were able to share that excitement with their home fans, as Emily Jewell fired in a double-overtime game-winner to lift Goucher to a 1-0 victory over Juniata.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher got on the scoreboard first in today's Landmark Conference contest against Scranton, but the Royals answered twice in a span of just over three minutes midway though the second half to gain a 2-1 victory over head coach Megan Williams' Gophers.

Ruhlin, Salta Chosen as First Gophers of the Month
TOWSON, Md. — Field hockey forward Justine Ruhlin, who recently became fourth leading goal scorer in program history, and men’s soccer midfielder Lashaw Salta, who has played a key role on both sides of the ball in Goucher’s 5-4 start to the season, have been announced as the first Gophers of the Month for 2014-15.

Blue Jays Strike Five Times in Second Period
TOWSON, Md. — Through the first nine games of the season, Goucher allowed only one opponent to score more than two goals and it appeared that streak might reach 10 games when today's Landmark Conference contest against Elizabethtown reached the end of the first half with the two teams locked in a scoreless tie.
