Goucher Men's Golf Heads North To Participate In McDaniel Spring Invitational This Weekend

LAST TIME OUT

• Julian Gonzalez shot a one-under par final round to move up to second place and lead the Goucher College men's golf team to a fifth-place standing at the Pfeiffer Invitational on March 5.
• Gonzalez sat in ninth place after shooting a 77 in the opening round on Monday. With his 71 in the final round, the freshman moved up to second place with a two-round total of 148, three strokes behind the medalist. Gonzalez has now participated in five collegiate events and has recording two first-place finishes, two second-place standings and a third.
• Roberto Mikse (12th place, 159), Evan Yue (24th place, 165), Steph Lee (27th place, 166) and Nicholas Fisher (31st place, 169) also competed for the Gophers in the first event of the spring for the team.
• Mars Hill won the two-day event with a score of 598, 30 strokes ahead of Bridgewater (628) while Adrian (630), Baldwin Wallace (630) and Goucher (638) rounded out the Top-5 teams in the field.
