ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Junior Ella Robinson of the Goucher College women's swimming team lowered her own program record in the women's 100 yard breaststroke at the ECAC Open Championships at the U.S. Naval Academy's LeJeune Hall on Saturday.
Robinson, just one of two non-Division I competitors in the 25-person field, swam a time of 1:08.07 in the preliminaries to place 18th and was one of two alternates for the finals. Robinson had broken the program's 32-year old record in the event two weeks ago at the Landmark Conference championships, swimming a 1:08.27 to place fourth in the final.
Robinson competes in the ECAC Open Championships on Sunday in the 200-yard breaststroke, with prelims at 9 am.
