MADISON, N.J. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its fourth year of competition and is comprised of eight like-minded institutions in the mid-Atlantic region, today recognized 202 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the 2011 Winter Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. Fourteen of the honorees are from Goucher.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — With Elizabeth von Ende (Leawood, Kan./American Hebrew Academy) knocking down two shots from 3-point range, Goucher stormed out to a 12-2 advantage over Catholic this evening. The Gophers stayed in front for more than 13 minutes before the Cardinals caught them at 27-27 on a basket by Liz Briones with 4:54 remaining in the first half.

TOWSON, Md. — Leia Roberts-Brown (Capitol Heights, Md./Archbishop Carroll), the only senior on Goucher's 2010-11 roster, tallied a team-high 11 points in the final home game of her career this evening, but it wasn't enough to lead the Gophers to a Landmark Conference victory over Drew.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher snapped a seven-game losing streak this evening by knocking off the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 56-44, the Gophers' first victory since they defeated the Mariners, 69-59, back on Jan. 15.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Goucher was down 11-0 after 3:35 and trailed 48-19 at the end of the first half in what turned out to be an 88-59 loss to Moravian this afternoon.

SCRANTON, Pa. — Goucher's Sharnell Huff (Bowie, Md./Bowie) finished with a game-high 17 points, but none of her teammates was able to produce more than six points as the Gophers were saddled with a painful 91-38 loss by Scranton in Landmark Conference action this evening.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher possessed a lead over Susquehanna 12:36 into this evening's Landmark Conference in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center, but at 15-11, it was hardly enough to withstand a run of 14 unanswered points by the Crusaders.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher trailed Juniata by only seven points and had the ball with :15 remaining in the first half of this evening's Landmark Conference game in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center. Nothing that happened the rest of the period was beneficial for head coach Didi Cotton's Gophers.

WESTMINSTER, Md. — Goucher was successful nine times from 3-point range in tonight's non-conference contest against McDaniel, matching its season-high for 3-pointers in a game. The Green Terror, on the other hand, made only one 3-point basket.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher got on the scoreboard first tonight thanks to a layup by Leia Roberts-Brown (Capitol Heights, Md./Archbishop Carroll), but Scranton retaliated with 17 unanswered points and the Royals went on to defeat head coach Didi Cotton's Gophers, 71-48, in a Landmark Conference game played in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher, which was aiming for its first three-game winning streak since consecutive victories over Hood, Trinity (D.C.) and Christopher Newport early in the 2007-08 campaign, instead surrendered the first 12 points of tonight's Landmark Conference game against Moravian and wound up suffering a 72-55 setback to the Greyhounds in front of a crowd of 185 in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center.

KINGS POINT, N.Y. — Sharnell Huff (Bowie, Md./Bowie) became the first Goucher player to exceed 20 points in a game this season as she poured in 24 points this afternoon to lead the Gophers past the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 69-59, in Landmark Conference action.

MADISON, N.J. — It was certainly no coincidence that the first time Goucher held an opponent to a shooting percentage under .300 that the Gophers picked up their inaugural victory of the 2010-11 campaign.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Even though what had been a nine-point lead midway through the first half had been reduced to a single point by the end of the period, Goucher seemed to be in position to knock off Juniata and pick up its first win of the 2010-11 season heading into the final 20 minutes of today's Landmark Conference contest.

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Precious Kollock (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco) tallied 19 points, more than any Goucher player has scored in any game so far this season, and two of her teammates were in double figures, but the Gophers still weren't able to snare that elusive first win of 2010-11. Instead, Susquehanna, which had only one double-digit scorer, came out on top in tonight's Landmark Conference affair, 67-58.

AUSTIN, Texas — Goucher was outscored 24-2 over the opening 13:27 of the second half of this evening's game against Howard Payne at the CTX Winter Classic, causing a 27-20 deficit at halftime to spiral to 51-22. The Gophers were able to produce only 11 points over the final 20 minutes of play and were handed a 59-31 setback by the Lady Jackets.
