KINGS POINT, N.Y. Goucher beat out Catholic and Drew to finish in fourth place at the 2010 Landmark Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Championships, which concluded today.

MADISON, N.J. Goucher produced the victorious quartets in both of the relays and the first-place performers in three individual events while coming away from this afternoon's triangular meet against two other Landmark Conference schools with a split. The Gophers (3-7) defeated Drew, 55-40, but came up short against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, 56-39.

YORK, Pa. A school record that stood since the Goucher men's swimming program's seventh year of existence was broken this evening while the Gophers were competing against York and Salisbury.

TOWSON, Md. Seven different Goucher swimmers placed first in at least one individual event today as the Gophers were picking up a their second victory of the 2009-10 season, a convincing 135-28 triumph over Arcadia.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. Georgi Shalamanov (Velingrad, Bulgaria/St. St. Kiril & Metodi) placed first a pair of individual events and was on Goucher's victorious 200-meter medley relay team this afternoon, but the Gophers still were handed a 127-73 setback by Scranton in Landmark Conference action.

As a reward for breaking a school record that had stood for more than a decade and placing first in a pair of events during a meet against Gallaudet and St. Mary's (Md.), Goucher's Georgi Shalamanov (Velingrad, Bulgaria/St. St. Kiril & Metodi) today was named Male Swimmer of the Week in the Landmark Conference.

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. Goucher's Georgi Shalamanov (Velingrad, Bulgaria/St. St. Kiril & Metodi) broke the school record in the 1,000-yard freestyle today during a triangular meet in which the Gophers picked up their first win of the season.
TOWSON, Md. Goucher's Kyle Williams (Andover, N.J./Newton) placed first in a pair of individual events today during the Gophers' 108-74 loss at home to Catholic in a Landmark Conference meet.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher's Georgi Shalamanov (Velingrad, Bulgaria/St. St. Kiril & Metodi) produced the fastest times in both the 200-yard individual medley and the 500-yard freestyle today, but the Gophers were handed a 157-86 setback by Susquehanna in the first meet of the season for both Landmark Conference teams.
