MADISON, N.J. The Landmark Conference has chosen three student-athletes from Goucher to be the Senior Scholar Athlete for their respective sport in 2008-09.

MADISON, N.J. - The Landmark Conference today announced the names of the 32 student-athletes who make up the 2009 Winter Landmark All-Academic Team, which recognizes two male and two female athletes who have excelled athletically and academically from each of the eight Landmark institutions.

Goucher's Britt Hogstrom (Killington, Vt./Woodstock Union) placed first and broke her own school record in the 50-yard freestyle today at the Seahawk Invitational, a last-chance meet for Division III swimmers looking to improve their times in order to qualify for the 2009 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships in March.

KINGS POINT, N.Y. Goucher's Britt Hogstrom (Killington, Vt./Woodstock Union) came away from the 2009 Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships that were conducted this weekend with more than just three titles. Her performance during the three-day meet that concluded tonight also earned her a share of the conference's Female Swimmer of the Year award.

KINGS POINT, N.Y. Britt Hogstrom (Killington, Vt./Woodstock Union) successfully defended her titles in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles, plus she was the first swimmer to complete the 200 free, but she wasn't the only Goucher swimmer to place first in more than one individual event at the 2009 Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, which concluded tonight.

TOWSON, Md. The two Goucher swimmers who are reigning Landmark Conference champions in two events both placed first in a pair of individual events today to help the Gophers earn victories over Drew, 54-37, and Merchant Marine, 65-25.

It wasn't until the eighth event that Bethany Natoli (Alexandria, Va./O'Connell) broke through and provided Goucher with its initial first-place performance of this evening's meet against Washington (Md.). By that time, the Shoremen (7-2) were well on their way to a 119-73 triumph over head coach Tom Till's Gophers.

MADISON, N.J. Goucher's Bethany Natoli (Alexandria, Va./O'Connell) today was named Female Swimmer of the Week in the Landmark Conference for December 1-7.

YORK, Pa. Britt Hogstrom (Killington, Vt./Woodstock Union) accounted for the only first-place performance by a Goucher swimmer during today's triangular competition that involved a pair of Capital Athletic Conference schools.

TOWSON, Md. Goucher produced the winner, the runner-up and also the third-place performer in a pair of individual events on the way to a convincing 107-71 triumph over Notre Dame (Md.) this evening.

MADISON, N.J. Goucher's Britt Hogstrom (Killington, Vt./Woodstock Union) today was recognized as Female Swimmer of the Week in the Landmark Conference for Nov. 17-23.
GLENSIDE, Pa. Britt Hogstrom (Killington, Vt./Woodstock Union) touched first in two individual events and set a new pool record with her time on the opening leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay during Goucher's 125-54 non-conference victory over Arcadia this afternoon.

TOWSON, Md. Emily Hasse (Montvale, N.J./Pascack Hills) turned in the only first-place performance in an individual event for Goucher today during a meet that included two other Landmark Conference schools.

WASHINGTON, D.C. Judith Stern (Reisterstown, Md./Grier School) and Sam Sutherland (North Reading, Mass./Austin Prep) both placed first in a pair of individual events this evening, helping Goucher earn its second win of the season.

WASHINGTON, D.C. Goucher's Britt Hogstrom (Killington, Vt./Woodstock Union) placed first in three individual events today in the Gophers' 148-114 loss to Catholic.
