2016-17 Goucher Men's Outdoor Track and Field News

Scholar-Athlete Teams and All-Academic Team honors for the 2016-17 NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field seasons were announced Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Fourteen thousand one hundred sixty-two miles. That’s how far three student-athletes traveled in order to compete at Goucher College as members of the athletics program. But that didn’t stop them from continuing to march their way into the school record books. Midori Fujitani ’17, of Tokyo; Jack Hodges ’18, of London; and Ogemdi Chukwu ’20, of Paris, have made 2016-17 a school year of record-setting performances.

Freshman Ogemdi Chukwu (Paris, France) is the second addition to the 2016-17 All-Goucher Second Team following a record setting year as a member of the track & field program.

The Landmark released the Spring 2017 All-Sportsmanship teams, tabbing six Gophers for recognition.

The Landmark Conference announced the 2017 Spring Academic Honor Roll, with 33 Gophers earning the designation.
