ST. MARY’S CITY, MD – Goucher concluded its 16-year affiliation with the Capital Athletic Conference as the leader in percentage of student-athletes who made the league’s 2006-07 All-Academic Team, which was unveiled today.

METAIRIE, LA — Both of Goucher's cross country programs are being recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the academic accomplishments of student-athletes in 2006, a spokeperson for the organization announced today.

WAYNESBURG, PA — Goucher's Zach Martin (Victor, NY/Victor Central) came close to cracking the top 100 today at the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional. The freshman completed the 8,000-meter race in 29:13, good for 106th place. The individual champion was Macharia Yuot from Widener, who crossed the finish line in 25:58.

SALISBURY, MD — Goucher bettered its finish by one spot over last year, finishing in fourth place today at the 2006 Capital Athletic Conference Championships.

TOWSON, MD — By the time Goucher's first runner crossed the finish line in today's dual meet, three runners from York had already completed the 6,000-meter race as the Spartans were on their way to a 17-39 victory over the Gophers.
